As we enter our next phase of growth, we're looking for our first Sales and Business Development Representative to join our team!

About You:

As a pioneering go-to-market professional, you are the embodiment of entrepreneurial spirit and sales acumen, ready to embark on a venture where your initiative and drive set the foundation for our sales framework. You’re excited to be our first full-time Sales professional! 

Your previous experience in a startup's sales environment has armed you with the resourcefulness needed to cultivate, from the ground up, robust sales playbooks in tandem with our CEO. 

You possess a comprehensive skill set that not only encompasses traditional sales techniques but also extends to synthesizing market insights into actionable strategies, nurturing leads into successful closures, and providing pivotal feedback that shapes our product and market offerings. With excellent writing skills, you reflect professionalism and the innate ability to craft compelling narratives that capture the value of our solutions, articulating complex concepts into clear, persuasive messaging.

You are wholly comfortable with the entire sales process, adept at identifying and generating leads, and possess a keen ability to guide these prospects through every step of the sales funnel to closing deals with finesse and strategic insight. If you've thrived as an early sales hire in a startup, forging paths and achieving milestones with a blend of independence and collaboration, then you're precisely the trailblazer we're seeking to join our mission at Border0.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead Generation and Market Engagement:
  • Develop and execute innovative strategies to generate and source qualified leads independently.
  • Secure meetings with potential customers, driving forward our market engagement efforts.
  • Collect and synthesize market feedback to inform our product development and marketing strategies.
  • Sales Development:
  • Build and refine a scalable sales process that aligns with Border0’s growth stage and product maturity.
  • Work towards achieving key sales milestones, including trial deployments, within the first quarter.
  • Marketing Collaboration:
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO and team to develop impactful marketing materials and sales collateral.
  • Help establish and maintain a consistent brand message that resonates with our target audience.

What We Expect:

  • Industry Acumen:
  • A solid understanding of the cybersecurity and / or DevOps infrastructure landscape with the ability to engage in knowledgeable discussions with leads in this sector.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends to effectively position Border0’s solutions.
  • Sales Proficiency:
  • A proven track record in sales, with the ability to identify, qualify, and engage potential customers effectively.
  • Experience in driving prospects through the sales funnel and closing deals, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Strategic Thinking:
  • The ability to develop and implement go-to-market strategies that support Border0’s vision and product capabilities.
  • Creativity in overcoming obstacles and the ability to adapt strategies in a startup environment.
  • Self-Sufficiency:
  • A self-starter who can independently manage lead sourcing, scheduling, and follow-ups.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with limited resources.
  • Collaborative Spirit:
  • A team player who can work seamlessly with the CEO and engineering team to align sales strategies with product development.
  • Willingness to share customer insights to enhance our product and marketing efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in lead generation and sales development.
  • Previous experience in sales in the cybersecurity, DevOps or tech industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in go-to-market or sales in a startup environment.
